"Narcolepsy affects every aspect
of sufferers lives, causing hallucinations,
disrupted sleep patterns and perhaps the
most intrusive - 'sleep attacks', often
on a daily basis. There are an estimated
2,500 patients in Ireland, but many remain
undiagnosed. We're joined by Deirdre McSwiney,
Chief Technologist at the Mater Private
Sleep Lab and Miriam Lanigan, who was
diagnosed with narcolepsy eight years
ago..."
